Homosexual Marriage: What does God say about it?

By Barbara Parker

A couple of weeks ago the United States Supreme Court handed down their verdict that homosexual marriage should be legal in all 50 states.

The President thought the matter closed and said we should all accept it as a done deal and go on about living like it was the most natural thing in the world.

The Boy Scouts decided that their troops could have gay leaders. It was up to the individual troops to decide.

The army decided it was fine for transgender folks to serve in the military.

The Republican Party now has a problem, whether to decide to shelve the issue or raise it up in Congress and pass legislation undoing the damage caused by the Supreme Court.

Some folks want the right to vote Federal Judges out of office when they get to acting too high handed. It does not seem right that some appointed judges can change laws at the mere flick of a gavel that have taken years to put in place by the voting public.

Of course they pay no attention to God or the scriptures that vehemently put down the whole homosexual issue.

On A Personal Level

God hates it and calls it an abomination. In Leviticus 18:22 the Old Testament law states, you shall not lie with a man as with a woman. It is an abomination.

John states in Revelation 21:27 those who work abomination will not be allowed into the holy city New Jerusalem.

The apostle Paul stated in a letter to the Corinthians, I Cor. 6:9-10 (Amplified) v9 Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled) neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality, v 10 nor cheaters, (swindlers and thieves) nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and robbers will inherit or have any share in the Kingdom of  God.

In Genesis 19:4-8 God destroyed Sodom and Gohmorrah for
Sodomy.  They tried to sodomize the angels who came to spend the night at Lot’s house.
You can see one of the destroyed cities of the plain from atop Masada in Israel.

Romans 1:24-28 God gave them up to uncleanness (lesbianism and homosexuality).

God promises to severely judge those who practice such a life style by throwing them into the lake of fire.

I don’t think they are born with it but they are convinced they were by Satan himself, because he wants plenty of company while he’s burning in the fiery lake.

The only other reason I can come up with is they’ve drunk too much recycled water with left over birth control medication in it.  Perhaps it has screwed up their sexuality.

On A National Level

If you believe in a God, then it shouldn't be a stretch that he has judged nations in the past for what conduct they allowed among their citizens.

Look back into history at the countries that practiced such life styles.  They no longer exist in the powerful forms of government that they once did.  Greece fell to Rome.  Rome fell to the Ottomans.  God roasted Sodom and Gohmorrah for such flagrant disregard for his principles, Gen.19:24-29.

And, the biggest example has to be the long tale of his very own covenant people, the Jews, who claimed a nation with the greatest of ease with his help, and then later were allowed to be consumed by other nations for their disobedience and falling away from their deal.

Is that what we want for our beloved USA.? If he is willing to let the nation of his covenant fall for not following his commandments, why should we expect any less for the US? If we continue down the path we're following, the US will certainly see its demise.

You won't necessarily be safe in other portions of the world, either.

All these people coming out of the closet may want to scurry back in there when the Muslims try to take over the world, as their agenda is to kill all Christians, Jews, and Homosexuals because none of them follow Shariah Law.

So, if the Muslims kill you and then God judges you and tosses you into the lake of fire what have you really gained by all this homosexual marriage?

  1. I think it's in Isaiah 1:19, or somewhere thereabouts that it says: 'If you follow my commandments, you shall eat the good of the land. If you don't, you shall die by the sword.'

In that opening, he is speaking to Israel the nation, but it's been convention that such pronouncements work on the personal level, and you can put [insert nation here] in place of [you].

I understand people think that love has no boundaries, nor does identity, and that Gary Stu could very well be Joe Chummer's soul mate.

For us Gentiles, Paul gives us a rundown of what we, as born again Christians are supposed to really do in Romans chapter 6. Chapter 7 shows us what will see us punished in the midst of our lives, even though we may be forgiven. The early chapters of Romans explains why we aught to be doing the right things and not the selfish things: Once you've excepted Christ as your savior, the Holy spirit changes you, and you become a new person, a different person.

I can attest to this on a personal level.

Effectively, every time you stray, you feel it. It hurts in spite of the pleasure, because you know you've done what you're not supposed to.

If you truly believe in salvation, then you rightly shouldn't be able to justify the appetites that you know are leading you wrong.

And, I love my country, and I fear for its continuance when observing the changes I see happening. All either of us can do is warn you. We can't really stop you if you're bound and determined.
